Website Up Checker
Check whether a website is reachable and healthy — from our server and from vantage points around the world.
- via Check-Host.net
Up from where?
A site can be up for us and down for half the world. We check it from our server with full timing detail, and simultaneously from dozens of global locations via Check-Host.net, so you see both views.
The full picture
Status code, redirect chain, final URL, response time broken down by DNS, connect, TLS and time-to-first-byte, the server software, HTTP version and whether HTTP/3 is offered.
Speed and protocol details
The report shows time to first byte, download time, page size, compression, the HTTP version and whether HTTP/3 is announced, so slow responses and missing optimisations stand out.
Frequently asked questions
Is the site down for everyone or just me?
The worldwide check answers exactly this — if global nodes reach it but you cannot, the problem is likely on your side or your network.
What does the response time include?
It is split into DNS lookup, TCP connect, TLS handshake and time to first byte, so you can tell whether a delay comes from the network, the certificate or the application.
Why does a site work from the server but not from some regions?
CDNs, firewalls and geo-blocking can treat regions differently. The worldwide check shows which locations get errors, timeouts or slow answers.
Does the checker follow redirects?
Yes. It reports the redirect chain and the final address and marks HTTPS downgrades and loops.
