Frequently asked questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use with no account, no API key and no trial period.
How is this proxy checker different?
One check tests every protocol at once — HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4/5, UDP, QUIC and HTTP/3 — and a proxy counts as working only when real traffic passes through it end to end.
Do you log what I check?
No. Inputs and proxy credentials live only in memory for the duration of a check and are never written to disk or logs.
Where do the checks run from?
Most checks run from our own server. Ping, website, DNS, port and IP-database checks can also come from dozens of worldwide locations via Check-Host.net, clearly labelled as such.
Can I check a whole proxy list?
Yes — the Proxy Checker accepts up to 20,000 proxies in any format, works through them as a queue, streams results live and exports TXT, CSV or JSON.
Can I check an IP for abuse?
Yes — the IP Abuse Checker combines four reputation scores, five daily-updated blocklists and 28 DNS blocklists for any address.
Which databases does "My IP" use?
Local MaxMind GeoLite2 and DB-IP Lite databases answer instantly; IPinfo, IP2Location and IPGeolocation.io come from Check-Host.net and Cloudflare adds its own edge data. Where they disagree, the page shows it.
Does the privacy check upload my data?
No. WebRTC, fingerprint and time-zone checks run in your browser. Only your IP address and the DNS test names touch our server, and nothing is stored.
Is there a browser extension?
Yes — q2ip Proxy Manager for Chrome and Firefox. It connects the browser to a proxy in one click, blocks WebRTC and DNS leaks and sets the time zone and language to match the proxy’s IP. It is free.
